Kelly Named Hockey East Defender of the Week

AMESBURY, Mass. – Senior Maeve Kelly of the Boston University women's ice hockey team was named the Army ROTC Defender of the Week, Hockey East announced Monday.
Kelly helped the Terriers to their 3-1 win over Providence on Friday when she scored the game-winning goal on the power play in the third period. The goal was her first of the season and the third of her career.
The Victoria, Minn., native also assisted on BU's third goal which came on an empty net. She was one of two Terriers to log two points in the game, marking her third multi-point performance of her career and first since the 2025 Hockey East championship game.
Kelly and the Terriers will be back at Walter Brown Arena on Wednesday when they host Providence for the opening round of the Hockey East tournament. Puck drop against the Friars is set for 6 p.m.
