Women’s Tennis Drops 6-1 Result to Brown

MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA, Mass. – The Boston University women's tennis team (4-6) fell to Brown, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Manchester Athletic Club.

While Brown won the doubles point with wins in the top two lines, BU was in a battle at line three when play was suspended. Freshman Vasilisa Borisova and sophomore Madison Liu were up 5-4 on their opponents when the match went unfinished.

In singles, junior Nancy Liu earned BU its lone point of the match. Her 6-3, 6-4 win at the No. 2 spot helped her improve to 8-2 in dual match singles play. At the top of the lineup, Mikaul was the only one to force her match to three sets after winning her first set, 6-2.

The Terriers will play again on Tuesday, March 10, when they travel to FIU. First serve is set for noon.
