Women’s Ice Hockey Announces 2026-27 Schedule

BOSTON – The Boston University women's ice hockey program announced its 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday, complete with 34 regular season games including 18 at Walter Brown Arena and two in-season tournaments.
Before the regular season gets underway, BU will host LIU for an exhibition game on Sept. 26. The season officially opens with a trip to defending national champion Wisconsin for a pair of games at LaBahn Arena on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2. BU then returns to the east coast and opens Hockey East play with a trip to New Hampshire on Oct. 9.
The Terriers will play their first home contest of the 2026-27 season on Oct. 10, when they host Holy Cross to kick off a nine-game homestand. BU then welcomes Colgate for a pair of games on Oct. 16 and Oct. 17, with Saturday's game being held at Agganis Arena. This will be BU's lone home game not at Walter Brown this season.
October 23 is the start of the 2026 Ice Breaker Tournament, in which BU hosts Yale for the first round at Walter Brown Arena. The Terriers will play either Robert Morris or Minnesota State on Oct. 24, in the consolation or championship game. As announced in May, this marks the first time BU has hosted the women's Ice Breaker and the Terriers are the first-ever women's Hockey East host for the tournament. The end of October has BU host Northeastern on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31 before going on to host Maine the following weekend, Nov. 6-7, to wrap up the home stretch. BU then travels just out of town to Boston College on Nov. 13 before hosing the Eagles on Nov. 14. The Terriers then face Providence on the road on Nov. 20 and at home on Nov. 21 to cap November competition. BU then has an off week over the Thanksgiving break.
BU has three games to wrap the first half with a home-and-home series with UConn on Dec. 4-5, the former being at UConn and the latter at home. BU's last game of 2026 will be a mid-week contest that takes place at home on Dec. 9 against Brown. After the winter break, BU will continue the season with a Tuesday game at Brown on Jan. 5. Later in the week, BU hosts New Hampshire on Jan. 8.
The 48th Dunkin' Women's Beanpot will get underway on Jan. 12 as BU faces host Boston College in the semifinals. The finals and third-place game will be contested in Boston on Jan. 19 at a site to be determined as BU will face either Northeastern or Harvard. In between the two Beanpot games, BU will travel to Holy Cross for a game on Jan. 16.
BU has one overnight Hockey East road trip on the schedule when it heads to Vermont for a pair of games on Jan. 22-23. The Terriers then their last home-and-home weekend of the season set up with Merrimack, hosting the Warriors on Jan. 29 and traveling to North Andover on Jan. 30.
The Green Line Rivalry comes back to Walter Brown on Feb. 5 when BU hosts BC, followed by BU traveling to Providence on Feb. 6. The Terriers then host Northeastern on Feb. 12 before making trips to New Hampshire on Feb. 13 and Merrimack on Feb. 18. BU then hosts its final game of the regular season against Vermont on Feb. 20. The Hockey East tournament is slated from Feb. 24 to March 6 with all 10 schools participating.
