Caitlyn Cassara, a former captain and two-year starter for the Terriers, enters her thrid year as a full-time assistant coach after serving as a student assistant during the 2006 season.

In addition to recruiting and travel responsibilities, Cassara works primarily with the Terriers' goalkeeping unit, which posted a 1.19 goals against average in 2007 and has recorded a combined 21 shutouts over the past three seasons.

A veteran of 80 games, including 54 starts, Cassara was a backbone for the Terriers' defensive unit in 2005. She helped the Terriers claim the America East championship for the first time since 2000 and was named to the conference's All-Tournament Team.

Cassara was a former standout at West Essex High School in North Caldwell, N.J., earning all-county honors in both her junior and senior seasons.

Cassara graduated from BU's School of Hospitality Administration in December 2006.
