Monica Dorley, a former All-America goalkeeper at Boston University, returns for her second season as a volunteer assistant coach on Sally Starr's staff.
Dorley holds the program record for career goals-against average at 0.79 and was named to the NFHCA All-America Third Team as a senior in 1995. She was also named team MVP and most improved player that season in addition to earning all-conference and all-region honors. Dorley finished her career with an .869 save percentage, good for fourth all-time at BU.The 1994 BUFHA Spirit Award winner, Dorley was a CoSIDA Academic All-American and was the recipient of the 1995 Aldo "Buff" Donelli leadership award, presented by the BU Athletic Hall of Fame.
Dorley graduated from BU with a bachelor's degree in mass communication in 1995 before going on to earn her master's in advertising two years later.
Dorley currently lives in Portsmouth, N.H. and was the freshman field hockey coach at Portsmouth High School for two seasons (1997, 1998). She owns her own graphic design business, Fast Girl Productions.
