Hudson Named Boston University Assistant Softball Coach

BOSTON (Sept. 19) - Sarah Hudson has been named an assistant softball coach at Boston University, head coach Amy Hayes announced Sept. 19.
Hudson, a recent graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Public Relations, was the first-ever four-year letterwinner, playing under Hayes, who was an assistant for the Hokies, her last two seasons. Hayes was named as the Terriers' fourth head coach in team history on July 27, 2000.
Hudson was a Coach's Award winner in 1998 and also earned the team Spirit Award in 1998 and 1999 for Virginia Tech.
In addition to her playing career, Hudson assisted the Scott Thomas/Virginia Tech Softball Camps from 1996-1999. At the camps, she organized and instructed the outfield skills portion of the program, demonstrated and instructed basic and advanced batting skills, and acted as an overnight counselor.
