Feldman Named Coach Of Year, Six Terriers Named All-Conference
November 8, 2001 | Women's Soccer

Terrier women's soccer coach Nancy Feldman, who guided the B.U. women's soccer team to its second straight America East regular-season title and the top-seed in this weekend's league tournament, has been named the America East Women's Soccer Coach of the Year. In addition, six members of her team have been named First Team All-Conference.
This marks the second straight year that Feldman has been named the Coach of the Year in a vote of the league coaches. Last year, the Terriers posted a 9-0-0 regular-season record and the conference title. Then, in the post-season tournament, the Terriers defeated Towson, 2-1, in the first round and Hartford, 4-1, in the title game. The victory earned the Terriers their first-ever NCAA Tournament bid. In the first round, they blanked Holy Cross, 1-0, but lost to host Dartmouth, 4-1, in the second round.
This year, the defending champions finished with a 10-0-1 regular-season record, with their only tie coming in a 0-0 double overtime match against Hofstra on September 21st. With this current win streak, the Terriers are 24-0-1 in their last 25 regular-season conference game dating back to the 1999 season. This year, in 11 league games, the Terriers outscored their opponents, 24-4.
The Terriers, who will meet fourth-seeded Delaware on Friday night (November 9th) in the semifinals of the America East tournament, are 12-5-1 overall.
