Terriers' Win Streak Comes To End

The Terrier women's tennis team saw its four-match win streak come to an end on Thursday (March 8th) in a 7-0 loss to host Florida International, a team that was ranked 35th in the nation.
The loss dropped the Terriers' second-semester record to 4-2, while Florida International improved to 12-1.
Freshman Hannah Bartell (Rancho Santa Fe, CA) enjoyed the most success in a 6-4, 6-4 loss at number six singles.
In the other singles matches, junior Christina Causway (Wilson, NC) lost at number one, 6-1, 6-3; senior Carrie Rose (Bloomfield Hills, MI) lost, 6-1, 6-0, at number two; freshman Lindsey Dynof (Colts Neck, NJ) lost, 6-0, 6-2, at number three; freshman Elena deMendoza (Madrid, Spain) lost, 6-0, 6-2, at number four; and sophomore Alana Marcu (Leonia, NJ) lost at number five, 6-1, 6-4.
In doubles play, Causway and Rose lost, 8-1, at number one; Dynof and deMendoza lost, 8-2, at number two; and Marcu and senior Hsiao Ning Ham (Jersey City, NJ) lost at number three, 8-1.
The Terriers will try to return to their winning ways on Saturday (March 10th) when they play the University of Virginia.
