Women's Tennis Edges Massachusetts, 4-3

BOSTON, MA-The Terrier women's tennis team won its top four singles matches to propel it to a 4-3 win over Massachusetts at the Track and Tennis Center on Thursday, April 8.
The win upped the Terriers' spring record to 11-6, while Massachusetts falls to 4-11. The victory also guaranteed a 14th-straight winning season under head coach Lesley Sheehan.
At first singles, senior captain Lindsey Dynof (Colts Neck, NJ) defeated Christine Liehr, 6-0, 4-0 ret. to even the match at 1-1 after Massachusetts had captured the doubles point, winning two-of three matches.
Senior Elena deMendoza (Madrid, Spain) swept Stephanie Price at second singles, 6-1, 6-0, and senior Elisa Glas (Irun, Spain) and sophomore Laura Ahmes (Sarasota, FL) followed suit, defeating their opponents, 6-3, 6-4 and 6-1, 6-1, respectively.
Massachusetts came back to take numbers five and six singles, but the Terriers had already achieved the margin of victory, which marked the final regular-season home contest for the Terriers this season.
B.U. will next travel to New Haven, CT on Wednesday, April 14 to take on Quinnipiac at 3 pm.
