2004 America East Softball Championship Seedings Set

BOSTON - Boston University, the University at Albany, and Stony Brook University have all qualified for the four-team America East Softball Championship, to be held Thursday, May 13 through Saturday, May 15.
All rounds of the America East Softball Championship will be held at Kessock Field on the University of Maine campus. The four-team tournament is a double-elimination format.
In the first round of the America East Championship on Thursday, May 13, No. 2 Stony Brook (13-7, 29-31) will take on No. 3 Boston University (11-7, 23-30) in the first game at 12 noon. Albany (17-2 America East, 34-16 overall) will be the No. 1 seed and will face No. 4 Maine (11-8, 24-20) at 2:30 p.m.
Last season Boston University won its third-straight America East Championship by defeating Albany 3-1 in the final game. The Terriers have won seven conference titles, including the inaugural America East Championship in 1992. Maine is the only other current member to have also won a championship (1994).

Friday, May 14
Game 3-- Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, 11 a.m. Game 4-- Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, 1:30 p.m. Game 5-- Winner Game 4 vs. Loser Game 3, 4 p.m.
Saturday, May 15
Game 6-- Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 5, 12 noon Game 7-- same teams (if necessary)
