Haas, Williams Named To Softball All-Championship Team

STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Seniors Jamie Haas (Houston, Texas) and DeKenya Williams (San Diego, Calif.) were named to the America East All-Championship Team after their performances in the conference tournament this weekend.
The second-seeded Terriers (26-19-1) fell a game short of reaching the championship game for the sixth straight season. The team defeated Maine, 1-0, in nine innings in the first round before dropping a pair of games, 7-3, to Albany and 5-4 to Stony Brook in the double-elimination tournament.
Haas batted .400 (4-for-10) in the three games with three runs scored. Williams batted. 333 (3-for-9) with one home run, a team-leading four RBI, and three runs.
Both Haas and Williams were America East All-Conference First Team selections this season, with Haas being named the conference's Player of the Year for an unprecedented third time.
