
Alley Named America East Player of the Week

Senior 1B Liz Alley was named America East Player of the Week Monday for her performance last week against Harvard and Hartford. Alley becomes the first Terrier to earn the conference accolade this season.
Alley had a huge week, as she hit .462 with three home runs and had a slugging percentage of 1.385. She doubled her home run total for the season in the span of two games. She went 1-3 (her second career triple) and had one of BU’s four hits in a 3-1 win over Harvard on Thursday. She went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI in a 7-6 win over Hartford on Saturday. On Sunday, she went 3-7 with three home runs and seven RBI in a doubleheader split against the Hawks. She hit two home runs in game one, driving in four, and she clubbed a three-run shot in the 11-1 game two romp. She now has three multi-HR games for her career. Alley is hitting .293 with a team-high six HR and 24 RBI on the season.
Alley is BU’s all-time leader in career home runs with 27. The Terriers are 18-17 on the season, 4-2 in America East play. BU hosts Maine on Wednesday afternoon in a doubleheader. Game time is 1 p.m. at the BU Softball Field.
