
Women's Tennis Advances To AE Tourney Finals

New Haven, Conn. - The No. 1 seeded Boston University women's tennis team advanced to the America East Tournament finals for the 14th straight year after a 4-0 defeat of No. 4 Stony Brook on Saturday morning on the campus of Yale University.
The Terriers have won the last 13 straight conference tournament championships and look to defend their titles against No. 3 UMBC.
BU won at Nos. 2, 3, and 6 singles and needed just two doubles matches to sweep the doubles point. Freshman Rebecca Row (Austin, Tex.) and sophomore Yana Sadovskaya (Riga, Latvia) defeated Victoria Vovsha and Caitlin Crowley 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
The Terriers were leading every match that was still in progress when the team match was decided.
BU will face the Retrievers on Sunday, April 29 at approximately noon. The women's finals will begin at the conclusion of the men's championship.
