
Roesch Collects AE Rookie of the Week Honors

Cambridge, Mass. - Freshman Emily Roesch has earned the final America East Rookie of the Week honor of 2009, after batting .400 over the last five games. Roesch helped the Terriers to a 4-1 week as they improved to 38-16 overall and 14-6 in the America East to earn a No. 2 seed in the conference tournament this upcoming weekend at Stony Brook.
Roesch, the conference's leading rookie hitter with a .286 average, batted .400 in five games last week. She went a perfect 4-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two driven in against Binghamton Sunday. The 11-0 win clinched the No. 2 seed for the Terriers.
The second-seeded Terriers will square off with No. 3 Albany on Thursday (May 7) at 3:30 p.m. in Stony Brook, N.Y.
