CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Reigning America East Player of the Year Stefanie Nunic went undefeated in both singles and doubles to lead the Boston University women's tennis team to three straight wins over its spring break trip to earn the league's Player of the Week award, the conference announced Wednesday. The honor is the Terriers' second of the season after sophomore Monika Mical received the award on Feb. 3.
With freshman partner Vivien Laszloffy, Nunic pulled out three doubles wins, including a close 8-7 decision over Buffalo. In singles, she posted two straight set victories over James Madison and Eastern Carolina and pulled out a close three setter against Buffalo.
Nunic, who was ranked 19th in the Northeast preseason rankings, moved up to eighth in the rankings released March 4.
