BOSTON - Facing its second of three scheduled Big East opponents, the Boston University women's tennis team earned a 4-3 victory over Cincinnati on Wednesday evening at the Track and Tennis Center. Improving to 9-6, the Terriers snapped the Bearcats' four-match win streak.
Even though the final score was decided by one point, BU captured the necessary four points in dominating fashion. The Terriers won two of the three doubles matches by an identical 8-3 score and then won three singles contests by taking 36 of 39 games.
Junior Stefanie Nunic blanked her opponent at the top spot, while classmate Monika Mical and freshman Leonie-Charlotte Athanasiadis dropped a combined three games at the No. 3 and 4 slots, respectively.
With the win over Cincinnati (6-11), the Terriers will now have a week off before hosting Massachusetts on Friday, April 1. Action will begin at 3 p.m.
