BOSTON - Senior April Setterlund of the Boston University softball team has been named to the 2011 Easton All-America Second Team, the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Setterlund, the first two-time America East Player of the Year since Jamie Haas ('05), graduated in May as one of the program's all-time greats. The Torrance, Calif., native boasts six career records and six single-season marks. She is the program's first-ever National Fastpitch Coaches Association First Team All-American and a four-time AE All-Conference First Team selection. She is the all-time leader in batting average, hits, doubles, RBI, runs and slugging percentage.
In 2011, Setterlund led the America East in hits (59), doubles (14) and walks (40), to go along with two grand slams on the season. Nationally, she ranks sixth in on-base percentage (.574), 18th in batting average (.344) and 37th in stolen bases (27).
