After crushing a pair of three-run home runs to help lead the Boston University softball team to the Patriot League title and automatic NCAA bid, senior Chelsea Kehr has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
The native of Florence, N.J., opened the second round against Army with her first homer of the season to propel the Terriers to a dominating 8-0 victory against the defending conference champions. Trailing by one in the middle of the second game against Bucknell, she came through again with her second homer to help BU claim a 10-5 victory for the conference title.
Kehr contributed seven RBIs in the last two games and added a double, as the Terriers move on to their fourth NCAA appearance in six years.
