CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Adding to her awards haul, Boston University's Capital One Softball Academic All-American Jayme Mask has been named an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) First Team All-Star, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Grafton, Mass., native received the award for the second consecutive year. Tabbed earlier this year an All-Patriot League and NFCA All-Region First Team honoree, she batted a personal-best .402 and swiped 34 stolen bases. With her hitting in the lead-off position, BU went on to win the Patriot League title and eliminate American Athletic Conference champion Louisville from the NCAAs.
Mask departs BU with several athletic accomplishments, highlighted by career school records for runs scored (172) and stolen bases (123). She tied for first in hits (264) while also finishing second all-time in batting average (.380), tied-for-fourth in triples (14) and seventh in walks (74). During the year, she broke her own record and a 22-year-old Patriot League record for stolen bases in a game with five.
