BOSTON - Playing in its first Patriot League match of the season, the defending conference champion Boston University women's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 victory over Holy Cross.
The Terriers (3-3, 1-0 PL) swept through doubles by a combined score of 18-4 and won 72 of 79 games in singles action for the win against the Crusaders (1-4, 0-1 PL).
Freshman Iryna Kostirko and sophomore Barbara Rodriguez both had flawless singles matches with 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 3 and 5, respectively. Juniors Lauren Davis and Madison Craft only dropped one game apiece in the No. 2 and 4 matches, respectively.
BU will remain home and next host Binghamton on Saturday, Feb. 21, in the final home match of the dual season.
