No. 13 Terriers Honor Seniors Before Lightning Suspends Holy Cross Match
October 21, 2016 | Field Hockey
BOSTON - The No. 13 Boston University field hockey team honored its eight-member senior class prior to its home contest against Holy Cross on Friday. After a pair of lightning delays the game was suspended in the 42nd minute with the Terriers leading, 2-1. The remainder of the contest will be played on Tuesday (Oct. 25).
Holy Cross scored on its first shot of the game to open the scoring but sophomore Kara Enoch knotted the game just moments after play resumed following the first lightning delay, which lasted 40 minutes. Senior Hester van der Laan gave BU the lead off a corner goal in the final minute of the first half.
The Terriers will return to action on Sunday (Oct. 23) when they host No. 3 Syracuse at 1 p.m.
