LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Facing its second ranked opponent of the season, the Boston University women's lacrosse team dropped a 15-4 decision to No. 4/6 USC Wednesday afternoon at McAlister Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

USC poured in three goals, including two off free position shots, in the opening five minutes.
Mickenzie Larivee puts the Terriers on the board with 17:55 left in the first, bouncing it past the Trojan keeper off a feed from Kailey Conry.
After holding the Trojans scoreless for nearly eight minutes, USC scored just 11 seconds after Larivee's score, igniting a 5-0 run to take an 8-1 command.
BU's attack came alive in the final minutes of the half as Molly Kern found the back of the net with 1:27 left before the Trojans responded with 11 ticks left. On the ensuing draw draw, Kern quickly gained possession and found Conry, who fired it into the back of the net with five seconds left to cap a wild end to the half as the score held at 9-3 in favor of USC.
Larivee kept the momentum going for the Terriers to open the second stanza, scoring just over a minute in to put BU within five.
However, the Trojans reeled off 6-0 run to close out the game, sealing the 15-4 victory.

GAME NOTES

Conry scored or assisted on all four goals for the Terriers.
After netting three of its first four shots, BU held the Trojans to connect on just one of its next 10.
The Trojans held a 22-7 shot advantage in the first half, while the second half was much more balanced for the Terriers, as it got off 12 shots compared to USC's 16.
BU scored three of its goals within the last 90 seconds of the first half and the opening 90 seconds of the second half.
