BOSTON - With one more Patriot League game to go, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will dip from conference play as it heads to New Hampshire on Wednesday, April 26 to close its non-conference slate.
DYNAMIC DUO
• Caroline Meegan and Kailey Conry collected a pair of weekly Patriot League honors, as Meegan was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while Conry earned her second-straight Rookie of the Week nod.
• In road games at Holy Cross and Army last week, Meegan totaled a .565 save percentage, 26 saves and collected six grounds balls.
• Conry finished the week with 11 points on four goals and seven assists
BETWEEN THE PIPES
• Caroline Meegan leads the NCAA with 12.43 saves per game.
• She has 174 saves on the season and is eight saves away from breaking BU's single-season record, which was set by Rachel Klein in 2008.
• The senior leads the Patriot League with a .512 save percentage, which ranks eighth nationally.
• She also leads the team with 28 ground balls and has posted double-digit saves in 10 games this season.
PILING UP POINTS
• Kailey Conry and Mickenzie Larivee lead the team with 11-game point streaks.
• Conry has 47 points over the past 10 games, with 39 of those coming on assists.
• 29 of Larivee's 30 points during her streak have come from goals, and she has 11 multi-goal games on the year.
• Larivee has caught fire down the stretch, scorching 18 goals over the past five games, netting at least a hat trick in each.
STEPPING IN
• Conry has accounted for 47 points over the last 11 games since entering the starting lineup.
• She leads the team in points (48) and assists (39).
• Conry ranks No. 5 in the NCAA and leads all freshmen with 2.78 assists per game.
• The Needham, Massachusetts native has dealt at least three assists in each of the past 11 games.
CROSS EXAMINATION
• Elisabeth Jayne ranks second on the team with 26 goals.
• Jayne has accounted for eight multi-goal games, including four hat tricks, and owns a .720 shot on goal percentage.
• Prior to starting every game this season, Jayne had played in six games over her career.
STEADFAST SENIOR
• Taylor Hardison has been having another stellar year on the attack as she is second on the team in points (42), assists (24) and ranks second in ground balls (22).
• As a junior, she led the team in assists (36) and ranked second in points (42).
STICKING TO IT
• Talley Perkins leads the team in caused turnovers (19) and ranks third in ground balls (21).
• Perkins has caused seven turnovers over the past four games.
• Maria Guerra ranks second with 16 caused turnovers and has caused at least one in all but three games.
UPPERCLASSMEN LEADING THE WAY
• Seniors Elisabeth Jayne and Taylor Hardison have combined for 72 points, while juniors Avery Donahoe and Mickenzie Larivee have combined for 66.
• The four upperclassmen have combined for 138 of BU's 256 points.
LAST TIME OUT
• BU edged Army, 12-11, on Saturday as Taylor Hardison scored the game-winning goal with just over two minutes left.
• Mickenzie Larivee scored four goals, while Kailey Conry added six points.
• Caroline Meegan posted 14 saves for her seventh double-digit save game in conference action.
ON THE ROAD
• BU has posted two straight seasons winning at least four games on the road..
• If BU wins on Wednesday, it would mark the first time the Terriers have won four or more games on the road since 2010-12.
UP NEXT
• BU will honors its seniors as it hosts Americaon on Saturday, April 29 to close out the regular season.
