May 9, 2017 | Softball
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – After holding Bucknell to just four hits in her 10th complete-game performance of the season, freshman Kali Magane has been named the Corvias Patriot League Pitcher of the Week, the office announced Tuesday afternoon.
After pitching five scoreless innings and being replaced, the freshman returned back to the circle with two runners on and finished out the game to close out the 4-2 victory over the Bison. Facing 27 batters, she allowed zero runs, walked two and struck out five, as the Terriers finished conference play on a 14-game win streak.
The weekly award marks the second for the Wrentham, Mass., as she was named Rookie of the Week back in February.
