
Schanda, Wong Earn Academic All-PL Honors

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Excelling in both the field and in the classroom, senior outfielders Jilee Schanda and Emma Wong have earned All-Academic Patriot League honors, the conference announced Thursday afternoon.
The academic award marks the second for Schanda and first for Wong, as the Terriers had multiple recipients honored for the fifth straight season.
A 2018 All-PL Second Team member, Schanda batted a team-high .350 during conference play with 14 runs scored, four doubles and four triples. She owned an earlier 15-game hitting streak, seven games longer than the nearest teammate and only had one error in center for a .988 fielding percentage. The Fresno, California, native owns a cumulative 3.65 GPA and is set to graduate with a degree in hospitality administration.
A 2018 All-PL First Team member, Wong finished second on the team and sixth in the PL in batting average (.335) while ranking first in runs scored (48) during the regular season. She had an earlier streak of successfully reaching base in 22 straight contests and only had two errors this year in the outfield for a .976 fielding percentage. The Solana Beach, California, native owns a cumulative 3.45 GPA and is set to graduate with a degree in public relations.
