DuBois Earns Another Patriot League Weekly Awards Sweep

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – After recording a pair of impressive pitching performances at Colgate, Boston University softball freshman Ali DuBois has been named both the Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
The announcement marks the second time this season that DuBois has swept both honors in the same week. Her three Pitcher of the Week honors are the most by a Terrier since Melanie Russell ('16) was recognized three times in 2014, and the four Rookie of the Week awards are the most since Emily Roesch ('12) claimed five in 2009.
DuBois tallied a combined 16 strikeouts in 13.0 innings while holding Colgate to a .093 batting average. She first allowed just one hit in an 8-0 game-one win for her ninth shutout of the season and then gave up an unearned run off three hits in the 5-1 game-three victory.
The 2018 PL regular season champion Terriers will next welcome No. 2 Bucknell, No. 3 Lehigh and No. 4 Army to campus for the PL tournament on May 10-12. They will open against the Black Knights with a 12 p.m. start time.
