Terriers Return to Action Tuesday at Temple

BOSTON - Spending the week away from Boston for spring break, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will return to action Tuesday, March 12 at Temple. Opening draw from Howarth Field is set for 3 p.m.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- Kaitlin Belval scored with 13.1 seconds left to force overtime at Harvard, but the Terriers fell 9-8 in double overtime to the Crimson last Wednesday.
- Belval led BU with three goals and five draw controls.
- Kennady Smith had the best performance of her young career, making 14 saves.
- Kailey Conry, who has 121 career assists, ranks second in the NCAA with 4.0 assists per game, while her 5.67 points per game ranks seventh.
- Conry leads the Terriers in points (34), assists (24) and is tied for the lead in goals (10) with Kelly Mathews and Belval.
- Tonianne Magnelli has been a force all over the field, leading the Terriers in draw controls (30) and caused turnovers (8).
- Mackenzie Howe has also been an impact all over, ranking second in ground balls (10) behind Lexi Lewis (14).
- Magnelli (30), Belval (36) and Mathews (14) have combined for 70 of the team's 87 draw controls this season, good for 80.4 percent.
- Temple is coming off two straight road wins, most recently defeating UMBC 16-12 on Saturday, to move to 3-4 overall.
- Maddie Gebert leads the Owls in goals (17) and points (18).
- Olivia Thompson follows in goals (17), while Ambert Lambeth ranks second in points (13).
- Gebert and Thompson are coming off four-goal efforts at UMBC.
- Kara Nakrasius leads Temple with 29 draw controls and has also picked up 12 ground balls.
- The Owls have primarily relied upon the tandem of Maryn Lowell and Olivia Martin in net.
- Lowell has started five games, while Martin holds the edge in goals against average (11.33) to Lowell's 12.83.
- BU has won the last four contests to improve to 4-2 in the all-time series.
- This will be the first matchup between the two squads since 2002, where the Terriers came out on top 16-4 in the season opener.
- This will be the second time the Terriers will take on the Owls in Philadelphia, as each team has hosted one another once, while four games have taken place on neutral ground.
