
Women's Tennis to Honor Four Seniors, Host Pair of PL Opponents Sunday

BOSTON – After recognizing four seniors, the Boston University women's tennis team will resume Patriot League play against Lafayette and in-state rival Holy Cross on Sunday at the Track & Tennis Center.
Already a 6-1 winner over Lehigh, the Terriers (7-8) will face the Leopards (6-5) at 10 a.m. and then the Crusaders (4-9) at 3 p.m. In the Senior Day ceremony, BU honor Remi Ramos, Sabrina Faybyshev, Sophia Kryloff and Kaely Malik, a group that has helped guide the program to two PL titles.
The Terriers are 4-0 at home after claiming a 7-0 sweep against Bryant on Friday afternoon. In the victory over the Bulldogs, BU dropped just seven games total in singles action. Freshman Shelly Yaloz now owns a team-high 15 victories, one ahead of sophomore Lily Burchell. Ramos was victorious at both No. 1 singles and doubles to extend her carer win total to 97 matches.
Lafayette will face Colgate on Saturday at 1 p.m. before making the trek to Boston. They Leopards are 1-2 in conference play with a 5-0 win over Holy Cross and losses to both Army West Point (4-0) and Loyola Maryland (4-2). BU won the last meeting, 5-0, i 2015 at Army.
The Crusaders are 0-4 in the PL with losses to Lafayette (5-0), Army (4-0), Loyola (4-0) and Colgate (5-2). Their last win was against Monmouth (4-3) back in October.
