Army West Point Spoils Women's Lacrosse's Senior Day, 15-9
April 20, 2019 | Women's Lacrosse
BOSTON – The Boston University women's lacrosse team saw its Senior Day spoiled as Army West Point snapped its four-game win streak, handing the Terriers a 15-9 defeat Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field.
BU netted the opening goal of the game, but the Black Knights answered with a 4-0 run over a 10-minute span to pull ahead and never looked back. The Terriers could never quite get their offense firing on all cylinders, dropping its first home game since March 3.
Kailey Conry and Hannah Kenneally paced the attack with three-point days apiece, while Kenneally and Mackenzie Howe were the lone Terriers to find the back of the net multiple times. Kaitlin Belval and Emily Vervlied posted strong efforts at the midfield, as each forced a pair of turnovers and won two draw controls.
