BOSTON - With Patriot League Tournament seeding implications on the line, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will host No. 13 Navy in the final game of the regular season on Thursday, April 25. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m. and can be seen live on the Patriot League Network.
PATRIOT LEAGUE PICTURE
- With a win, BU would clinch the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament and would receive a quarterfinal round bye.
- With a loss, BU would finish as either the No. 3 or No. 4 seed pending on the result of Army vs. Bucknell.
- Loyola has clinched the regular season Patriot League title and will host the final two rounds of the tournament.
- The Terriers have qualified for the tournament in all six seasons as member of the Patriot League.
- Kailey Conry leads the NCAA with 4.00 assists per game, while her 5.77 points per game ranks fourth.
- Kaitlin Belval is tied with Emily Vervlied for the team lead in goals (28) and is one point shy of totaling 100 career points.
- Kelly Mathews is also approaching the 100-point milestone as she is two points away.
- Emily Vervlied has scored in each of the last 12 games, recording multi-point efforts in seven of those contests.
- The sophomore leads the team in goals (20), ground balls (19) and caused turnovers (20) in conference play.
- Lexi Lewis saw her 12-game point streak end to the Black Knights, but has 21 of her 31 points in Patriot League games.
- Tonianne Magnelli has been a force all over the field, leading the Terriers in draw controls (71) and is tied for the team lead with 31 ground balls.
- Magnelli, Mackenzie Howe and Christine Carugati are the lone Terriers who have started all 16 games this season.
- Ranked No. 13 in the nation, the Mids stand at 13-3 overall and are 7-1 in Patriot League games, its only loss coming at the hands of Loyola.
- Navy has posted over 20 goals in each of its last three games and is riding a four-game win streak.
- Kelly Larkin leads the NCAA in points per game (6.0) and leads the Patriot League in goals per game (3.31).
- Additionally, she leads the league in game-winning goals (5) and ranks third in assists per game (2.69).
- Kayla Harris (40) and Annalise Heyward (38) follow in points, while Harris follows Larkin with 31 goals.
- Marie Valenti leads the defense with 23 caused turnovers and 41 ground balls.
- Reagan Roelofs is also atop the Patriot League rankings, as she leads in the league in draw controls per game (6.56) and is the only student-athlete to surpass the 100-draw mark with 105 on the year.
- Gab Harchelroad has started all 15 games in net, averaging a .377 save percentage and a 10.52 goals against average.
- BU has won all three games against the Black Knights.
- Both of BU's wins came in one-goal decisions in 2014.
