Strom Contends in UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals With Atlético Madrid

SPAIN - Former Boston University women's soccer standout Kylie Strom closed out her season with Atlético Madrid by contributing to a team that gained a UEFA Champions League quarterfinal berth, where it fell 1-0 to Barcelona on Friday.

Strom, who joined Atlético Madrid last August, earned a starting nod in the match and played the full 90 minutes. The quarterfinal appearance was the furthest that Atlético Madrid had advanced in the UEFA Champions League.

Since graduating from BU in 2014, Strom has enjoyed a professional career that has spanned both in the United States and overseas. In addition to competing with Atlético Madrid , Strom has spent time with the Boston Breakers, FFC Frankfurt II in Germany, and Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic.

A two-time NSCAA all-region and all-conference selection during her days as a Terrier, Strom tallied 13 goals and 17 assists while aiding BU to three conference championships.
