BOSTON – Continuing Patriot League play, the Boston University men's soccer team will face Loyola Maryland on Saturday afternoon at Northeastern's Parsons Field with a 2:30 p.m. start time.

The Terriers were originally scheduled to host the Greyhounds at Nickerson Field, but a venue change was necessary once BU's Class of 2020 Commencement festivities were moved outdoors.

TERRIER TIDBITS

Despite owning a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks and finishing tied in shots at 8-8, the Terriers fell at Army on Wednesday, 2-0, after the Black Knights struck twice during the final 15 minutes of regulation for their eighth multi-goal performance in nine contests.
Three of BU's last five games have gone to overtime with the Terriers posting a 1-3-1 mark, including last Saturday's 1-0 OT loss at Lafayette.
The Terriers started conference play with a 1-0 win over Navy at home.
Junior Quinn Matulis and freshman Brian Hernandez own a team-high two goals apiece, while five individuals have an assist.
Junior Francesco Montali has started six games at net, earning a .694 save percentage and 1.83 goals against average, while both senior Michael Stone and sophomore Andrew Wike have recorded four saves in their individual start.
Opponents are averaging 4.7 more shots per game and lead in overall corners, 46-31.

SCOUTING LOYOLA MARYLAND

Owner of a 0-0 draw at then-No. 5 West Virginia, the Greyhounds started conference play with a 2-1 win at Lehigh and 1-0 home loss to Holy Cross.
Loyola Maryland most recently posted a 3-0 home win over William & Mary.
Kelan Swales owns a team-high three goals and is tied with Justin Ingram at eight points with Ingram tallying a team-high four assists.
Matthew Lala has two goals, while Kevin Medrano has three assists.
Chase Vosvick has started six games at net, posting a 0.48 GAA and .864 save percentage.
Opponents are averaging 1.8 more shots per game and lead in corners, 43-31.

SERIES HISTORY

BU is 3-4-3 all-time in the series that dates back to 1987.
The Greyhounds are on a four-game uneaten streak against the Terriers following a 3-0 win at Nickerson Field in 2019.
The game was scoreless for the first 54 minutes until Loyola scored twice within a 34-second span and added the final blow in the 84th minute.

UP NEXT

BU will make the short trek to Harvard on Tuesday with the ESPN+ broadcast set for 7 p.m.
The Terriers claimed a 2-0 home victory in 2019 after falling in OT in 2018 on the roada.
