Softball Team, 13 Terriers Honored by NFCA for Academic Success

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After three-peating as Patriot League champions, the Boston University softball squad was named a 2020-21 NFCA/Easton Division I All-Academic Team, as 13 Terriers earned All-America Scholar-Athlete honors, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced.
While on the journey to their fifth straight Patriot League championship round appearance and a program-record .900 winning percentage with a 36-4 record, the Terriers were also excelling in the classroom with a team GPA of 3.58. BU had 17 students named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll over the summer for posting a 3.20+ GPA with 13 of them finishing above 3.50+ for the individual NFCA recognition.
Both Nicole Amodio and Emily Gant were honored by the NFCA for the second time and were joined this year on the list of All-America Scholar-Athletes by fellow teammates Caitlin Coker, Ali DuBois, Patricia Dun, Bella Gargicevich-Almeida, Julia Handfield, Jen Horita, Aliyah Huerta-Leipner, Maya Kipfmiller, Kate Pryor, Audrey Sellers and Marina Sylvestri.
