BOSTON – Closing out its three-game road swing, the Boston University women's basketball program heads to Boston College for the 28th installment of the Battle of Comm. Ave. on Sunday (Dec. 4). Opening tip is set for 2 p.m.
Having gone 1-1 on its stretch away from The Roof so far, BU takes part in its penultimate non-league road contest on the year. The Terriers are 2-2 in away games so far this season, but 3-1 in matchups taking place in Massachusetts.
Boston College will compete in the second contest of its seven-game homestand. The Eagles are 4-1 in Conte Forum this year. The Terriers will be Boston College's fifth and final Massachusetts-based opponent so far this year.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU's four-game winning streak was snapped with a 65-61 road loss at Saint Joseph's on Dec. 1.
- The Terriers held the undefeated Hawks (7-0) to a season-low in shooting percentage, three-point percentage, and margin of victory.
- Returning near her hometown of West Chester, Pa., senior Maggie Pina unloaded 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting.
- Junior Caitlin Weimar dropped 16 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks for her fifth double-double of the year.
- Senior Sydney Johnson added six rebounds and six assists.
- Entering Saturday (Dec. 2), only five Division I student-athletes have more double-doubles than Weimar, who is tied for sixth in the nation with five.
- Her 7.4 defensive rebounds per game and 15 blocks rank 20th and 22nd in the nation, respectively.
- Pina is tied for 15th in the country with a .533 three-point percentage. She is five threes away from eighth all-time in program history, trailing Katie Meinhardt '07.
- BU has snagged 40 or more rebounds in six of its seven contests. Dating back to last year, the Terriers have outrebounded 30 of their 38 foes.
- Entering Sunday, BU has four Terriers averaging double figures in scoring: sophomore Alex Giannaros (16.5 points per game in two contests), Weimar (12.9), Johnson (12.0), and Pina (11.6).
- As of Friday (Dec. 2), the Terriers lead the Patriot League with a .335 field goal percentage defense, ranking 18th in the nation. Six of their seven foes have shot below 39 percent this season.
- Elsewhere, BU ranks second in the league in scoring defense (57.6 points allowed per game) and fourth in three-point percentage defense (24.5 percent).
SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
- Boston College has won four of its last five games to improve to 6-3 on the season.
- Most recently, the Eagles defeated Rutgers at home in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, 75-61, on Nov. 30.
- Boston College has played two common opponents as BU so far, beating UMass Lowell, 81-53, and Northeastern, 64-59. The Eagles also took down Holy Cross, 52-42, but fell to Harvard on the road, 68-59, earlier in the year.
- Maria Gakdeng paces Boston College with 11.4 points and eight rebounds per game. She has made over 60 percent of her shots.
- Dontavia Waggoner (11.3 points per game) and T'yana Todd (11 points per game) also score in double figures.
