The Boston University field hockey team will close out its four-game road stretch on Sunday (Sept. 24) when it makes its first-ever trip to Monmouth.
There will be no live streaming of Sunday's contest.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU suffered its first road loss of the season on Friday in a 1-0 contest at Lehigh.
- The Terriers had won their first three road contests.
- Sophomore Caroline O'Brien continues to lead the team in both points (10) and goals (2).
- Junior Payton Anderson (3g, 1a) and sophomore Martu Coulo (2g, 1a) have tallied seven and five points, respectively, this season.
- Senior goalkeeper Kate Thomason made eight saves on Friday and now has a .737 save percentage and a 2.11 goals-against average.
SCOUTING MONMOUTH
- Monmouth is coming off a 2-1 road win over No. 20 Delaware on Friday.
- The Hawks enter Sunday on a three-game win streak.
- Monmouth also has victories over Rider, Sacred Heart, Wagner and Drexel this season.
- Junior Sofia Fouces leads Monmouth in both points (23) and goals (10) while classmate Jess Tucker has added three goals and two assists.
- Freshman Jessie Eiselin has played every minute in goal for the Hawks and has a 1.65 goals-against average and a .755 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY
- Sunday marks just the second-ever meeting between BU and Monmouth.
- The Terriers earned a 2-1 victory over the Hawks during the 2021 season.
