Bakaityte Tabbed Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshman Uma Bakaityte of the Boston University women's tennis team was named the Patriot League player of the week, the league announced Tuesday. This is her second weekly award of the season after she earned her first on April 9.

Bakaityte went a combined 4-0 in BU's matches against Lehigh and Army West Point. She played at line one in doubles alongside Blanka DeMicheli as the pair clinched both doubles points. In singles, she earned BU's third point in both matches at the No. 2 spot.

The Kaunas, Lithuania, native finished the regular season undefeated in Patriot League singles play with a 5-0 record. She also finished league play with a 4-1 record in doubles.

The Terriers await their seed assignment for the Patriot League Championships which begin on Friday at the U.S. Naval Academy.Â
