- Northeastern added a third goal just 1:19 later, scoring off a corner.
- The Terriers would surrender a penalty stroke with 3:15 remaining in first half, and Ortyl was up to the challenge as she pushed the shot over the cage.

- The Terriers had to defend a corner in the first minute of the second half and were able to clear the danger.
- With 1:14 remaining in the third quarter, Driscoll chased down a ball that had bounced into the circle and off the stick of an NU defender and whacked it past the goalkeeper to cut the deficit to 3-1.
- Trailing by that margin entering the fourth, the Terriers earned a corner with 10:13 to play, but junior Alex Purcell's shot was saved.
- Senior Caroline O'Brien had two chances to score in the final four minutes, but was denied by Northeastern's goalkeeper.
- Northeastern had 11 shots on goal compared to BU's nine.
