Play Suspended Thursday Afternoon with Softball Leading Lehigh, 1-0, in PL Tournament Opener

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The No. 2-seeded Boston University softball team's Patriot League tournament opener against No. 3 Lehigh has been suspended due to inclement weather Thursday afternoon at the Army Softball Complex.
Play was halted in the bottom of the fifth with the Terriers at the plate owning a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Sophie Naivar broke the scoreless deadlock with two-out solo homer in the fourth, and junior Kasey Ricard totaled seven strikeouts so far.
With Friday declared as a washout, the teams will resume play on Saturday morning at 10 a.m., with the winner to face No. 1 Army West Point in a winner's bracket game (game three). That will take place 30 minutes after the conclusion of the BU-Lehigh contest. Fourth-seeded Bucknell will then face the losing team from the BU-Lehigh opener 30 minutes after game three has ended. Game 2 – #2 Boston University 1 vs. #3 Lehigh 0, Suspended in the bottom of the 5th; Resuming Saturday at 10 a.m.
Game 3 – #1 Army West Point vs. Winner Game 2, 30 minutes at the conclusion of Game 2
Game 4 – #4 Bucknell vs. Loser Game 2 – 1:30 pm, 30 minutes at the conclusion of Game 3
Game 5 – Winner Game 4 vs. Loser Game 3 – 4 pm, 30 minutes at the conclusion of Game 4
Sunday, May 11
Game 6 – Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 5 – 10 a.m.
Game 7 – Winner Game 6 vs. Loser Game 6 (if necessary) – 12:30 p.m.
