Terriers to Begin Dunkin' Men's Beanpot Title Defense Monday Night against Northeastern on NESN, ESPN+, TSN+

The Boston University men's ice hockey team will continue its 104th season on Monday night when the Terriers begin their title defense against Northeastern in the 73rd annual Dunkin' Men's Beanpot at TD Garden. Puck drop on NESN, ESPN+ and TSN+ is scheduled for 8 p.m. An audio-only broadcast will be located here.
Boston College and Harvard will play in the opening game of the evening at 5 p.m.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers are looking to bounce back after a 4-1 loss to No. 13/14 Boston College on Friday night.
- Junior Jack Harvey scored his ninth goal of the season off assists by sophomore Cole Eiserman and freshman Ben Merrill.
- BU has won a record 32 Beanpot titles and boasts an all-time Beanpot record of 96-48, including a 34-13 mark against Northeastern.
- The Terriers are looking to reach the title game for the ninth time in the last 11 tournaments and for the 58th time overall.
- Sophomore Mikhail Yegorov is the reigning Eberly Award winner after stopping 69 of 71 shots at last year's tournament.
- This is the first time since 2019 that the Terriers' starting goaltender for the opening round is not making his Beanpot debut.

HISTORY WITH NORTHEASTERN
- This will be the 258th meeting between the Terriers and Huskies since they first met during the 1930-31 season.
- The only team BU has played more games against is Boston College (295).
- BU holds a 174-71-12 (.700) advantage over the Huskies, including a 2-1-0 record this season.
- The Terriers have recorded 16 of the 21 shutouts between the crosstown rivals, with their most recent one coming in the 2022 Beanpot title game.
- Last season marked the first time the two teams only met twice since the 2013-14 season.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
- Northeastern enters Monday on a three-game losing streak, including a 3-2 overtime loss at UMass on Friday.
- Junior Dylan Hryckowian leads NU in goals (14), assists (17) and points (31).
- Junior goaltender Lawton Zacher is 10-10-0 with a .928 save percentage and a 2.15 goals-against average.
- He has only faced BU once, making 31 saves in the Terriers' 4-3 win at Northeastern on Dec. 13.
