TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers are back in the Patriot League tournament for the first time since 2023 and are searching for their first postseason win since 2018.
- BU is 6-8 all-time in the Patriot League tournament and is making its ninth appearance.
- If the Terriers win, they would meet top-seeded Navy in a Patriot League Semifinal on Thursday, April 30.
- The Terriers dropped a 12-8 game at Holy Cross on Thursday to close out the regular season.
- BU led 5-2 at halftime, but was unable to close out the game as the Crusaders outscored the Terriers 10-3 over the final 30 minutes.
- Juniors Izabella Amonte and Tessa Geddes each scored two goals, senior Alyssa Mozi notched a goal and an assist and junior Reilly Walsh, freshman Avery Cutair and senior Elle Stevenson all had a goal each.
- Junior Natalie Aiosa made eight saves in cage.
- Aiosa stands just three saves away from reaching 400 career saves. She would be just the sixth goalkeeper to accomplish that feat in BU history.
- She is also third in the Patriot League in goals-against average (10.26).
- Geddes has tallied 42 goals and eight assists so far this season, while also grabbing 36 ground balls and 52 draw controls.
- Stevenson is second on the team with 36 goals, and both Stevenson and Geddes reached 100 career points in the win over Colgate (April 15).
- Senior defender Siri Hodgins enters the weekend ranked third in the Patriot League and 27th in NCAA DI in caused turnovers per game with 2.12.
- She has 37 caused turnovers, the most in a season since Gabby Juocys caused 41 in 2002. Juocys' mark is the program record for CT in a season.
- The Greyhounds are currently ranked 23rd in the latest IL Women and IWLCA polls and have an 11-6 record, including a 7-2 Patriot League record.
- They defeated Bucknell 15-9 on Thursday.
- Senior Elisa Faklaris leads the team in goals with 39, but it's sophomore Morgan Quade who has the team lead in points with 59 (25 goals, 34 assists).
- Tewaaraton nominee Mae Murphy leads the country in draw controls with 215 this season.
- Goalkeeper Makenzie Butler has a .371 save percentage in 13 games and Kennedy Buntrock has a .331 save percentage in 11 games. Butler has played 160 more minutes this season than Buntrock.
- This will be the 20th meeting between the Terriers and Greyhounds and the second this season.
- The Terriers are 2-17 against Loyola Maryland all-time, with the last BU win coming in 2007.
- BU and Loyola Maryland have met four times in the Patriot League tournament, with the Terriers dropping all four games.
- In this season's 13-8 loss to the Greyhounds, Tessa Geddes notched a hat trick, Karina Harrison scored twice and Elle Stevenson, Alex Cutone and Jayne Feeney all scored once.
