Amy Gibson, who has been a goalkeeper for the Scottish national team since 2011, joins the Boston University staff in 2018 as a volunteer assistant coach.

Gibson played in the 2013 and 2015 European Championships with Scotland placing sixth both times and most recently participated in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which took place in Gold Coast, Australia. She was also a member of the Scottish teams that played in the 2011 and 2012 Champion Challenges. 

A native of Dumbarton, Scotland, Gibson was reserve goalkeeper at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi before playing at the Commonwealth Games on home soil in Glasgow in 2014. She also has experience with the Great Britain centralized squad dating back to 2015.

Gibson currently plays club hockey in Germany for Der Club an der Alster and previously was a member of Surbiton in Scotland's top league. She played at Clydesdale Western before joining Old Loughtonians in January 2014. The following season, she joined Slough, helping them capture the Investec Women’s Hockey League Conference West title.Â
