Shute Named America East Field Hockey Player of the Week

BOSTON - After tallying the second hat trick of her career in a 9-0 rout of UMBC, junior Sarah Shute (Lincolnville, Maine) has been named the America East Player of the Week for field hockey, as announced by the league office on Monday. Shute leads the Terriers in both goals (9) and points (22) this season.
Shute helped BU raise its win streak to five games, scoring three goals and adding an assist in a dominating 9-0 home triumph over UMBC on Oct. 7.
The junior scored once in the opening half before tallying her second goal of the day in the opening minute of the second half. Shute completed her hat-trick effort in the 45th minute.
Shute and the Terriers will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 14, when they visit Vermont for a conference contest beginning at 2 p.m.
