The Terriers never trailed in the contest as they connected on eight hits - two doubles and two home runs.
In the second game, the Black Bears struck back with an four-run outburst in the first inning as senior Courtney Gingrich unloaded a grand slam, after Maine loaded the bases on two singles and a walk. The Terriers were unable to recover, as the Black Bears tacked on two more in the sixth to seal the victory.
Sophomore Caitlin Rentler connected on two hits in the contest and junior Megan Currier was charged with the loss as she drops to 7-5 in the circle.
With her two runs batted in on Wednesday, Dubay is now just 10 away from tying former teammate Chiya Louie ('07) for the career RBI record, currently set at 124.
The Terriers will travel home for a Thursday afternoon match-up with Ivy League foe Harvard at 4 p.m. at BU Softball Field.
