ATLANTA, Ga. - Concluding its Spring Break trip, the No. 68 Boston University women's tennis team fell at Georgia State, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon. Losing its second consecutive one-point match, the Terriers drop to 8-6, while the Panthers improved to 10-2.
Ranked as high as No. 61 back on March 7, GSU swept through the three doubles contests and won three singles matches for the team victory.
Playing without sophomore Vivien Laszloffy, the Terriers suffered a tough break at No. 2 when junior Petra Santini had to retire in the first set. BU also lost in three sets at No. 5 and 6, respectively.
Junior Stefanie Nunic dropped just three games for a comfortable win at the top spot. Classmate Monika Mical and freshman Leonie-Charlotte Athanasiadis also pulled out victories for the Terriers in the No. 3 and 4 slots, respectively.
BU will next host Cincinnati on Wednesday (March 23) at 3 p.m.
