BOSTON – Before embarking on a spring break trip to Florida, the Boston University women's tennis team will host Holy Cross on Thursday with doubles action set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
The contest will be part of the all-sports Turnpike Trophy competition featuring the two schools. BU currently owns a commanding 12-1 lead after capturing both basketball points on Saturday against the Crusaders.
Last year, women's tennis topped the Crusaders twice, including a 5-0 decision in the Patriot League quarterfinals, to help BU win the Turnpike Trophy, 20-4.
The defending Patriot League champion Terriers enter the contest looking to snap a three-match losing streak that followed their 4-3 conference-opening win over Navy. The Crusaders are seeking their first win of the season but have only participated in one match in the new year so far, a 5-2 loss at Sacred Heart.
