CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – After helping lead the Boston University softball team to four victories with an .882 slugging percentage, junior Jilee Schanda has repeated as the Patriot League Corvias Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Fresno, Calif., native hit safely in all five games, tallying two hits in each of the three wins over Colgate. She first recorded the only run in the Terriers' 3-1 loss against CCSU with a solo homer and then earned her second long ball of the week in the 10th inning of the series-opener with Colgate -- a walk-off two-run homer.
Schanda finished the week 8-for-17 at the plate (.471) with one double, two home runs, seven runs, seven RBI, two walks and one stolen base to become the first in the PL this season to claim back-to-back Player of the Week awards.
