
Softball Named Easton/NFCA Division I All-Academic Team; Four Terriers Also Recognized

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Highlighted by four Terriers earning individual Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors, the two-time defending Patriot League champion Boston University softball squad was named a 2018-19 NFCA/Easton Division I All-Academic Team, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
While on the journey to their fifth Patriot League championship round appearance in six years, the Terriers were also excelling in the classroom with a 10 members being placed on the conference's academic honor roll for owning a GPA of 3.20 or greater.
Senior Lizzie Annerino, sophomore Nicole Amodio, sophomore Emily Gant and senior Kali Magane went an extra level and boasted GPAs above 3.50 to claim All-America Scholar-Athlete awards.
Led by head coach Ashley Waters, BU was one of 120 NCAA Division I programs to post a team GPA above 3.20, finishing at 3.29.
