BOSTON - Aiming for its third straight road win, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will head down the Mass Pike for a Turnpike Trophy matchup at Holy Cross on Wednesday, April 17. Opening draw is set for 7 p.m. and can be seen live on the Patriot League Network.
TURNPIKE TROPHY
- The Terriers are 15-3 in Turnpike Trophy games during the 2018-19 season series.
- All three of BU's losses in the series this season have come at the hands of the Crusaders' women's basketball program.
PATRIOT LEAGUE PICTURE
- BU clinched a spot in the Patriot League Tournament after Saturday's result at Bucknell.
- The Terriers have qualified for the tournament in all six seasons as member of the Patriot League.
- With a win on Wednesday, BU would clinch a home quarterfinal game set to be played on Sunday, April 28.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- For the second time this season, senior defender Tonianne Magnelli was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after guiding BU to a pair of road wins while registering nine draw controls, five caused turnovers and five ground balls.
- With Saturday's 19-7 win over Bucknell, BU has recorded a 10-win season for the fourth straight season.
- Kailey Conry ranks second in the NCAA with 3.64 assists per game, while her 5.36 points per game ranks seventh.
- Conry is four points shy of becoming the ninth Terrier in program history to reach 200 career points and would be the fastest to reach the 200-point milestone.
- Kaitlin Belval leads the Terriers in goals (27) and is three points shy of totaling 100 career points.
- Emily Vervlied follows Belval with 25 goals and has 22 goals over the last seven games, while 27 of her 31 points on the season have come during that stretch.
- Kennady Smith has been BU's primary goalkeeper this season and has started the last 10 games, making double-digit save efforts in four of those contests.
- BU has proved to be one of the top offenses in the conference, ranking third in the league in points (21.79), goals (14.43) and assists (7.36) per game.
- The Terriers are also getting it done on the defensive end of the field, limiting opponents to just 10.54 goals per game, which also ranks third in the Patriot League.
- Holy Cross has dropped four of its last five games to fall to 4-9 overall and 2-4 in Patriot League games.
- Keely Connors owns the program's all-time draw controls record (217) and leads the Crusaders with 23 goals while ranking second with 27 points.
- Jolie Creo holds the team lead in points (28) and has 19 goals over the last seven games.
- Haley Walker guides the defense with team-best marks of 33 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers.
- As a team, Holy Cross leads the league with 20.15 ground balls per game.
- In net, Juliana Kubler has earned the start for the last six games, while Sophie Ochs has started four games and has the edge in goals against average (12.05) over Kubler (13.46).
- Kubler has the second-best save percentage (.479) in the Patriot League and has 31 saves over the last two games, including posting a career-high 16 stops at Lehigh on Saturday.
- Amanda Belichick, daughter of New England Patriot head coach Bill Belichick, is in her fourth season at the helm of the program.
- BU has dominated Holy Cross in the all-time series, holding a 10-1 command.
- The Terriers hold an eight-game win streak dating back to 1997.
- In Patriot League play, BU is 5-0, though three of the four games have been decided by two goals or less.
- Last season, the Terriers posted a 16-7 win over the Crusaders, marking its largest margin of victory in the series.

- BU will return home for its final two games of the regular season, starting by kicking off the fourth annual Lax-A-Palooza against Army West Point Saturday.
