
Softball to Host Dartmouth in Tuesday Afternoon Doubleheader

BOSTON – Riding an eight-game win streak, the Boston University softball team will open a five-game homestand against Dartmouth with Tuesday's doubleheader slated to begin at 2 p.m.
TERRIER TIDBITS- In the current win streak, the Terriers have claimed three-game sweeps in conference play against Colgate and Lafayette while also posting a pair of one-run victories against UMass Lowell.
- BU is a perfect 11-0 at home though it hasn't always been easy with four walk-off victories and eight total wins by a combined 14 runs … Five of the wins have come against non-conference opponents – Boston College Rhode Island, UMass and UMass Lowell (2x).
- BU batted .331 in five games last week to increase its season average to .256 … The Terriers also added seven homers to increase the total to 25, the program's most since BU had 39 in 2012.
- Senior Emily Morrow is hitting a team-high .311 with classmate Alex Heinen close behind at .301.
- Heinen owns a team-high eight homers and 32 RBIs, while freshman Aliyah Huerta-Leipner (.275) has six homers, team-high eight doubles, 25 RBIs and team-high 30 runs scored.
- Freshman Nicole Amodio heated up last week, batting .417 with five RBIs and four runs scored while also being hit by a pitch three times to earn a 0.563 on-base percentage.
- In the circle, senior Ali DuBois (19-8, 1.29 ERA) and freshman Emily Gant (8-7, 1.60 ERA) continue to be dominant in the circle, combining for 290 strikeouts against 59 walks in 272.2 innings of work with 13 shutouts and two saves.
- Dartmouth has played the last 15 games against fellow Ivy League opponents, posting a 5-10 record ... The Big Green most recently won a series at Cornell, first dropping a 13-4 decision and then winning two games by a combined score of 23-4 after being swept at Harvard by a combined four runs.
- The Big Green are batting .279 while holding opponents to .330 with opponents posting a 75-37 advantage in doubles.
- Micah Schroder leads Dartmouth with an impressive .477 with six homers, nine doubles, 22 runs scored and 30 RBIs ... Taylor Ward (.323) is secod with four homers and 21 RBIs, while Calista Almer (.315) has 25 runs scored and nine stolen bases.
- Madie Augusto (3-10, 4.31 ERA) owns 49 strikeouts in 87.2 innings ... Both she and Shelby Wilkison (3-9, 6.67 ERA) have combined for 24 of the 32 starts this season, going the distance once apiece.
- The Terriers are 15-1 all-time against Dartmouth in a series dating back to 1996 with a perfect 10-0 record.
- In the last meeting, the Big Green escaped with a 5-4 home win in 2014.
- BU last hosted Dartmouth in 2010 and swept the doubleheader, 4-0 and 4-3.
