Softball to Welcome Six Newcomers for 2021 Season

BOSTON – Head coach Ashley Waters has announced that six new Terriers will be joining the Boston University softball team in 2021. Lauren Keleher, Raegan Kelly, Alex-Rose Molinar, Lauren Nett, Kate Pryor and Kayla Roncin will make up the Class of 2024.
The group represents five states and is made up of three infielders, two outfielders and a utility player.
Lauren Keleher (OF • 5-5 • Abington, Mass. • Abington)
Named team captain her senior year at Abington H.S. after helping squad win three straight South Shore League titles ... Named the Brockton Enterprise and South Shore League Player of the Year as a junior after batting .681 with nine doubles, four triples, four homers, 17 stolen bases and 38 runs ... Added her third South Shore League All-Star honor along with Boston Globe All-Scholastic and Enterprise All-Scholastic accolades ... Batted .671 her sophomore year to help team win the D3 state title ... Hit .781 as a freshman ... Competed with the Rhode Island Thunder Gold ... Two-time team captain on the basketball team, earning three League All-Star and Enterprise All-Scholastic recognition ... Served as class treasurer, National Honor Society vice president and Student Athletic Advisory Council president ... Also an MIAA ambassador and Unified Sports member.

Raegan Kelly (Util. • 5-9 • Berwick, Maine • Noble)
Named team captain for the second consecutive year entering her senior season at Noble H.S. ... Named a nominee for Gatorade Player of the Year and Channel 6 Varsity Club member as well ... Batted .507 as a junior while posting a 15-3 record in the circle with 1.87 ERA and 116 strikeouts in 118 IP en route to All-State, SMAA First Team and Journal Tribune Softball Player of the Year accolades ... Finalist for Gatorade Player of the Year for softball ... Batted .507 with 21 RBIs and 25 runs while posting 16-2 record, 1.26 ERA and 133 strikeouts in 114 IP her sophomore year ... Claimed SMAA Pitcher of the Year, SMAA First Team, All-State and Team Noble Award honors ... Alex-Rose Molinar (INF • 5-5 • San Diego, Calif. • The Bishop's School)
Two-time team captain at The Bishop's School ... Two-time recipient of the Knights Award, which honors an athlete voted by teammates and coaches as best exemplifying character, leadership and sportsmanship ... Earned All-Conference First Team accolades as a sophomore and freshman ... Batted .597 as a sophomore to claim Conference Player of the Year accolades after hitting .490 her freshman season ... Helped the Breakers on the club level alongside BU Terrier Allison Boaz finish third in the 2019 PGF Nationals, playing every game at short while hitting .533 ... Kate Pryor (INF • 5-8 • Saint Paul, Minn. • Minnehaha Academy)
Graduated from Minnehaha Academy with the school record in hits, home runs and RBIs ... Finished in the top 10 for the state record book in those three categories along with triples, runs scored and stolen bases ... Three-time team captain and three-time team MVP ... Named to the 2020 PGF High School All-American Watch List her senior year and the All-Breakdown AA Team while also receiving the Athena Award ... Batted .630 as a junior en route to her second All-State Second Team award ... Added her third All-Section First Team and All-Conference First Team honor as well ... Batted .625 as a sophomore and .655 her freshman season ... Placed on the 2017 American Family Insurance All-USA Twin Cities Postseason Softball Team ...
